What is the standard height for outlets in a kitchen?

The NEC has no official requirement concerning the height of a receptacle above any finished floor, including the kitchen floor. The Americans with Disabilities Act, on the other hand, specifies 15 inches as the minimum height for a receptacle and 48 to 54 inches as the maximum, depending on conditions.
