What is the difference between gas range and gas stove?

In the house, a gas stove is a free-standing unit with gas burners and one or more gas ovens. A gas hob is either just the burners on top of the stove or a fitted gas burner unit, usually with between four and six burners. As an example, I have a dual-fuel stove with a gas hob and two electric ovens.
