In pre. paration for the sale of the municipal bonds, the Village asked Moody’s Investor Services to provide the Village with a credit rating. Moody’s reaffirmed the Village’s existing Aa2 rating citing the Village’s “moderately-sized tax base with residential employment access to the Milwaukee metro area, stable financial operations characterized by sound reserves and conservative budgeting, and manageable exposure to post-retiree benefit liabilities.”

Meijer outdoor sculpture With most customers focused on finding a parking spot in a busy Meijer parking lot, they may have missed Climbing Arc, a 14 foot aluminum sculpture which has been erected adjacent to the site’s northwest parking lot edge. Meijer, whose Grand Rapids-located Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park is internationally-acclaimed, commissioned Milwaukee artist Richard Taylor to design and construct this unique sculpture. . Mr. Taylor notes that “(t)his green space was an opportunity for me to create a sculpture that connects earth to sky, horizontal to vertical and environmental to industrial. Like a tree, it invites the viewer to follow its undulations up to what lies overhead, then back down to terra firma.” For more information on Richard Taylor, visit his website at www.taylorsculpt.com
