The gnocchi was in a bolognese sauce. The chicken was an afterthought and served on the side. Never seen it done this way. Disappointing taste.

This it a very special place. Mr. Dal Santo makes everyone feel like family. From the pan fried walleye to all the pasta, their food is fantastic every time.

It was great food!
Ceaser salad with anchovies.
The walleye entree was delicious with bacon bits!
The duck on the menu came out tender and cooked to perfection. The ambiance of the restaurant was soothing and relaxing with live person playing music and above all, the experience and price are better than some higher end restaurants in Chicago!
Went there recently and my husband ordered the Chicken Parmesan. He wanted to have their rapido (oil & garlic) sauce on the pasta and the marinara sauce on the chicken. Our nice waitress tried to plead his case with the stubborn chef-owner, but to no avail. We will not return and will discourage our friends and family from dining here. The owners of this place are not customer-friendly. We waited a long time to be seated and when we finally did, the food was awful. I ordered a gnocchi and my husband a chicken parmegiana and it tasted like microwave food.
I would say that the owner of Dal Santo’s has no idea what he is doing running a restaurant, the staff are incompetent and the sanitation is appalling.
The wine is priced at least double what you can buy it for.
even in the same town. The glasses are always streaky and there is no care at all put into keeping the back of the restaurant sanitary. Excellent environment and fantastic food.
