Thanks to Meghavi and Parth Patel of Platteville Mound View Inn for loaning us putters for our mini-golf course this weekend. Our teens did a great job of putting together a one-of-a-kind golf course inside the library.

James Hibbard from the Southwest Wisconsin Room will be at the library tonight (August 3) from 6-7pm to talk about Platteville Stories. His talks are always interesting, informative, and funnier than you might expect. There is no need to register for this free program.

All hail the conquering (trivia) heroes! Thanks to everyone who came to this year’s library trivia night and everyone who helped with planning, setup, and take down. Here were the night’s final scores: 90 – Jedi Champions of Exceptionally Awesome 79 – Hulk Smash. 70 – Big Damn Heroes 64 – The Darker Knights 64 – Sic Transit Gloria Libris 55 – Quimque Qumquats Quilting Quite Quietly 48 – Marvelous Five 29 – The Avengers 2.0

We recently read “Will It Waffle With a Chainsaw” and “The 100 Hundred Year Old Man Who Climbed Out The Window and Disappeared With a Chainsaw” ‪#‎FridayFunDay‬

The consequences are even more dire for those who never visit the library.

In a collaboration with the Platteville Senior Center our Lunch Bunch Storytime learned about Volunteerism today. The children were able to read books and spend time with the seniors as part of this week’s theme: “Everyday Heroes”.
