With a history dating back to 1888, the Museum houses a collection with strengths in 19th- and 20th-century American and European art, contemporary art, American decorative arts, and folk and self-taught art.
Established in 1888.
The Milwaukee Art Museum’s far-reaching holdings include more than 30,000 works anning antiquity to the present day. The Museum campus ans three buildings, including the Milwaukee County War Memorial Center designed by Eero Saarinen and the Santiago Calatrava-designed Quadracci Pavilion, named by Time magazine as “Best Design of 2001.” For more information, please visit www.mam.org.

This place makes me want to go to more Art Museums! Even though the exhibits were closed when I visited I was able to sit in on a lecture by the Chief Curator Brady Roberts about Global Contemporary Art.
