While most of the world was seeing green for St. Patrick’s Day, Kluge students and staff were wearing green for a different reason. They celebrated making “green” on the last MAP test by having a Green Day to celebrate their success! Go Green Kluge Cougars!
Milwaukee Public Schools is beginning the process of putting together its budget for the 2012-13 school year. The budget is not simply a series of numbers; it’s a reflection of our priorities as a family of schools. So we want to know your priorities. We want you to be a part of our process. We invite you – parents, neighbors, community members – to take the following survey to share your priorities. Once finished with the set questions, you will have the option to share any questions or concerns you have with the budget. Superintendent Gregory Thornton will answer some of the most frequently-asked questions as the process moves forward.
We are told that the wind chill tomorrow morning could reach -23F. A few things to note: – Each school leader has an Indoor Weather Procedure that guides them on early entry to the building for arriving students and the provision of indoor recess activities. – School leaders and staff are cognizant of weather conditions and make decisions regarding children with the interest of safety in mind. . – Be certain children are dressed appropriately for their walk or bus ride in this weather – including a hat and a scarf to cover the face.
