Have you ever wondered what the La Crosse County Sheriff’s Department Bearcat looks like up close? You will have your chance tomorrow night at our NNO event from 5p-8p. We’ll have the Bearcat, a fire truck from the HAFD and HPD squads available to tour.

Holmen PD’s first ever National Night Out is less than a week away! We have awesome grab bags ready & waiting for all the children who attend! We’ll have three awesome inflatables for the kids to play on, door prizes (including a $50 gift card to Festival) and food for purchase as well! Please join us at Halfway Creek Park from 5p-8p on Tuesday August 4th!
In the month of August our officers will continue with extra traffic enforcement to try to ensure compliance and promote safer roadways!

Suspicious Activity *** We received a report that an adult female was walking in the area of Holmen Drive North and Amy Drive on 07-21-15 around 11:30am when she was approached by White/Male in his 40s, thin build, 5’7 to 5’9, dark hair and sun glasses driving a newer Ford F-150 burgundy in color (possibly extended cab). The male followed the female to a local store and followed her around in the store asking her if she needed a ride. If you see anything like this happen or it is happening to you please call the police department right away or call 911.
Free Family Fun *** Join us on August 4th from 5pm-8pm at Halfway Creek Park (300 Roberts St W) as we host National Night Out. We will have 3 large inflatables for children to play on, a grab bag, and much more. The MOB Stop will be serving food in the park at a discounted price. Following National Night Out will be Movie in the Park star, ting at dusk (8:30ish) the movie is Despicable Me.
Don’t forget to stop by the Holmen Area Fire Dept today before 7pm for the 19th Annual Brat & Hotdog Fundraiser.
Did you know? The Holmen Police Department was awarded a grant giving the department 10 shifts for officers to enforce speed violations on village streets. Officers began the enforcement in June and will be continuing through July and August. Always remember to drive safely and follow posted speed limits.

We would like to wish all the competitors at the 2015 World Police & Fire Games in Fairfax, Virginia good luck this weekend, Especially Austin Heidlage of the Holmen Area Fire Dept. Austin will be competing in judo and no-gi grappling.

To the officer who pulled over a white Volkswagen Bug a few months ago for going about 23 over, thank you. I know that I. was not happy to get a ticket that day, but I am so thankful that you did your job and stopped me from being reckless. I saw you around town at a gas station and made me think this. I just want to say thank you.
