Dr. Jens Goetze is a confirmed speaker for the 2016 Agate Expo to be held in Cedarburg, WI July 7th -10th, 2016. Dr. Goetze will be giving a presentation on the Agates of Saxony. Since 2005, Dr. Göetze has worked as a professor of Technical Mineralogy in the Department of Mineralogy of the TU Bergakademie Freiberg (Saxony, Germany). Since beginning his doctoral thesis, Jens has intensively dealt with quartz and silica minerals. Jens Goetze will also be displaying his collection of Agates from Saxony in the Exhibit Hall during the show. For more details, please visit www.agateexpos.com.

Johann Zenz will be the Keynote Speaker for the 2016 Agate Expo. Johann Zenz recognized the need for international networking and star, ted (many years before the “internet age“) the International Directory of Agate Collectors. Many of us have enjoyed Zenz’ books, Agates I – III. Zenz will also have a part of his fine collection of Bulgarian Agates on display during the show in the Exhibition Hall. Attention all Agate Enthusiasts! The 2016 Agate Expo is one year away! Come join us in Cedarburg, WI July 7th-10th, 2016 for the Symposium and Show.
