Who is artistic enough to do this for the dojo picnic in September???
Marcus, we are so proud of you! You worked really hard to earn your white belt! Way to go!! You Rock!!
Dojo is full of Dragon Warriors tonight! The student creed sounds AWESOME! !
This post by a Martial Artist friend made me laugh. His point, well taken, is that many Martial Arts “Masters” take this approach. They teach one thing, then do another. They belittle others, in direct or indirect ways. They discourage their students from being involved in any martial arts activities or training outside their own “perfect style”, no matter how beneficial or educational it may be. I am proud to say that we at Brown’s Karate Academy strive to practice what we preach. We work to be open and accepting, welcoming and uplifting. We don’t put others, or their particular martial arts, down, and we encourage you to find the things that others can teach you (because everyone has a lesson to teach, and many to learn!) Here’s to your personal journey in the Martial Arts! Go forth and GROW!!
We are honored to welcome Hanshi Williams as one of our instructors at our Share the Martial Arts Camp this year! Will you join us to learn from this very respected and knowledgeable Martial Arts Master?? There’s still time to register!
What would you change about yourself if you star, ted looking at things like this???
Even simple, proper technique with the correct application works every time!
A reminder, today is the 3rd Thursday of the month, which means no noon class, since Sensei will be attending the Chamber of Commerce meeting. See you at class tonight!
What a great summer activity for your kiddos!!
Together BKA forges an honorable path that enriches all our lives. Thanks for walking with us!!
I have yet to take my first lesson, but am already impressed with the professionalism, integrity, and knowledge of Sense. i Brown and his team. What has really inspired me to become interested in this academy and martial arts is the dedication to strengthening confidence, leadership, and respect for others in each student.
The kid’s are very excited to be in karate! I’m hoping to help teach them discipline and respect and I am impressed with. the way this class teaches that. I’m carrying the incentive of earning rewards home with us and am hoping to improve the behavior at home.

Meet our 2015 instructors, #2 & #3 of the series! 10th Degree Grand Master Steve Aldus & 6th Degree Black Belt Kim Aldus I am having a seriously hard time condensing the knowledge and accomplishments of these two into something short enough for this post! Their Martial Arts resumes are as amazing as they are! They both have studied and ranked in various Martial Arts styles, both hold a PhD in Martial Arts Philosophy, hold places on multiple Martial Arts boards and are very . active in many organizations. They both have been inducted into the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame numerous times, have been winning competitors, they both travel all over (including Chetek, WI!) to do seminars teaching self defense, weaponry, T’ai Chi, and much more! And they are both as kind and humble as they are dangerous and deadly! So let’s just suffice it to say, these two are beyond awesome! They are the epitome of what TRUE Martial Arts Spirit is all about! They have become a staple of our STMA Camp, and we are proud to be able to call them friends, and we thank them for sharing with us each year! Will you join us to learn from these amazing Martial Artists? There is still time to register!!

Do they not have more star, s than just five? I don’t think that’s fair. This camp was the best time I’ve had since. .l. ast year’s Share the Martial Arts camp. The instruction was world-class, gentle, and very approachable. The people were all kind, generous, and sincere. My only regret is that it’s taken me this long to find a community like this that I can truly call extended family. Many thanks to Master Brown, Gina Brown, and all of the fantastic instructors for making this camp such a wonderful experience!
If you are in Wisconsin/Minnesota and want to have a great Martial Arts Experience, I HIGHLY suggest this camp!.
