As a reminder, we are showing THE INCREDIBLES at 1 pm today at the library. This event is part of the summer reading program:)

Don’t forget: the library is showing the movie American Sniper tonight at 7 pm, followed by a discussion of the film!:)

Thanks to everyone who came to the library to see authors Nickolas Butler and Benjamin Percy last night! They were both great to listen to. Thanks to Apostle Islands Booksellers for making this happen! We are enjoying an excellent emoticon

Attention: the children’s movie “Big Hero Six” is NOT today. It is next Friday, June 26th, at 1 P.M. Some of the brochures for the Summer Reading Program had a different date. But we had a conflict with the original date and had to change it. Sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you for your understanding.~Blair

The date for the movie will be announced soon.

Reminding all our good library friends that tonight at 7 P.M. we are showing the movie “The Edge,” with door prizes and a special speaker who will talk about survival

We have a special treat for this Saturday’s movie, “The Edge”: Dave Strzok will be joining us at 7 pm to give a short survival talk about his experiences. The movie showing will follow.

Attention parents! Through a partnership with the school, we are able to offer a year-long, PAID internship position at the library! The motivated, responsible candidate must be entering or in high school, and 14 years old. The position is 8-10 hours/week. This is the first time the position has been expanded; normally, it’s only through the summer. The ideal candidate will be working here at an exciting time, as we are adding new programs and events, a teen club, showing films, and working on a big long-range plan. Please share this with your kids if you think they would be interested. Thank you!

Our movie setup on the lower floor is complete! Come for a true theater experience in our library. Saturday, May 30th, 7 p.m., we are showing the thriller “The Edge,” with special “survival” door prizes, don’t forget. This is also a special showing because we’ve obtained a special one-time only license to show the film:)

Wonderful programming, helpful friendly staff, best children’s storytime around!!

The staff is always friendly, courteous and helpful.
