Here are some great opportunities to enhance your writing skills . The Mill: A Place for Writers is offering the following as described by Karla Houston: Mill Wednesday classes will star, t on September 18 and run for ten weeks. The lineup of classes looks like this:. Monday: Fundamentals of Fiction with Steve Polansky Wednesday: Poetry Workshop with Karla Huston Memoir with Mike Magnuson Fiction Workshop with Steve Polansky Further details will be available soon. Two other events of note: On Wednesday evening, September 11, present and prospective students, along with those interested in learning more about The Mill, are invited to gather at the Atlas Coffee Mill. Teachers will be available to answer questions about upcoming classes. And you’ll be able to register for classes on the spot. And, as an added incentive, Mike Magnuson will read from his work. On September 28, the Mill will kick off its first Mill Saturday program at Atlas Coffee Mill. Karla Huston will offer a poetry workshop tentatively called, “Writing with the Beatles.” The worksop will focus on new writing and run from 9 to 2. Lunch will be included as part of the class fee. Each time we’ve visited Atlas Coffee Mill either for a quiet breakfast/brunch or to celebrate an event or for a fundraiser held by the Coffee Mill we have had exceptional food and great service. We love the quaint and quiet atmosphere. When the weather cooperates, eating on the deck is awesome!
Location is great, food and drinks are good but overpriced.
Felt very out of place studying there, which is odd for a coffee shop. NOT a laid back coffee shop atmosphere. Sorry to say that I was glad to see others complain about rudeness of owners, especially toward children. Like others, she followed my children like a hawk and scolded them for everything.
Sue cleaned up every spot my children touched immediately. The final straw was when she got in the face of my eldest and announced he had to use an inside voice or be thrown outside like the garbage. Who treats children like this?!
He was so uncomfortable and didn’t know how to respond.
We contacted BBB as well only to have Sue respond that we misunderstood everything.
Like an old folks home, it’s filled with old people and elevator music. Staff was rude and took forever to seat us, then said we couldn’t attend a conference call unless we went in the hall. Frankly, we love the place. It’s quiet, has a(…)
