Seam fillers are suitable for repairing deep scratches, wide nicks and gouges as well as simply filling gaps. Apply pure acetone to a cotton swab. Rinse the solvent off the countertop with a wet sponge. Squeeze some seam filler onto a paper plate or a spare piece of laminate. Scoop the seam filler onto the putty knife.
