Start with a can of compressed air and see if that does the trick. If you still have some gunk in there, very carefully try swiping it out with either a bent pipe cleaner (never put the end of the pipe cleaner in there as you might scratch the connectors), or try a thin cotton swab moistened with some rubbing alcohol.
