Kitchen cabinets typically measure 35 1/4-inch tall without the top. Vanity cabinets measure only 21 inches in depth. You can convert a kitchen cabinet to a vanity simply by trimming it down. Drawers are not an option on vanity cabinets because the plumbing and sink use the space required for drawers.
