I found the place by chance. I was in Rosedale and googled "yarn stores near me", The Yarnery came up and I thought it . sounded interesting and it was close by, so we stopped in to check the place out. Love it! I will absolutely be making this a regular stop when I am in the cities. The guys working were so sweet, they even made sure that the two skeins I got were from the same dye lot and ran back to swap one so they matched. ♥

Yarnery - Craft Store
Every knitter needs a store like The Yarnery. Its charming space is filled with a good selection of classic yarn, an array of luxury fibers, good books, lots of patterns, sufficient needles and notions for almost any project. And there is parking at the rear of the store. Lucky me, it’s in my neighborhood.
Great selection, but OMG the prices!
And I agree with the other reviewers - I don't feel comfortable here, there's a definite attitude of snootiness.
And I never feel comfortable asking where the less expensive stuff is, if there is any, so I spend a lot of time rooting through the shelves.
I'll think I've found something that will work and then I'll look at the yardage.I don't know why, but they seem to carry really small skeins, so you almost have to buy two even to make a small project. It's a real effort to find something affordable. Plus, unlike the former Borealis *sniff* they don't offer to wind your yarn for free if it's not in a ball. It's never a great shopping experience. Friendly, helpful staff, wide selection of yarn, great classes.
