I stopped in just to buy a new piece of jewelry for my industrial. Not sure of the piercers name, wish I would've asked, but he was super helpful, knowledgeable, personable, and professional. Even though he wasn't making much money off of me because I was just buying jewelry, he installed it for free, took his time to follow all of his sanitary procedures, and talked me through what he was doing. He even complimented the job of the person who originally pierced my ear- that's pretty rare in this industry. Would definitely recommend him to friends looking for a piercer!

I went along with a friend who was getting a tattoo done. It's a huge back piece so we were there for the better part of 5 hours. An hour and a half alone was dedicated to making sure the design was perfect, cleaning and preparing his back, and lining the image up evenly. The attention to detail was refreshing to see, as tattoos tend to be permanent. Ryan, the tattoo artist, did an amazing job. This was the first session of a few and the outline looks like it could be a finished product.

While I waited, I decided to get my nostril pierced by Ryan (there's a tattoo artist, Ryan and a piercing artist, Ryan). I've had my nose pierced 3 other times and thought those experiences were pretty good. But I was clearly wrong. I always bled, the 3rd time, I gushed. With Ryan, I had one tiny speck of blood on a Q-tip. He showed me the ideal placement, explained why it was the best placement, so we went with that. The piercing was quick and painless. When we were finished, he thoroughly explained how to care for the piercing, he didn't just hand me the brochure and shoo me out the door.

The shop is very clean, bright, non-intimidating and all the guys who work there are friendly and easy to talk to and work with. Their music choice in the store is awesome, something for everyone. You're not forced to listen to Finnish death metal the whole time you're there. They have a computer to help you surf the web for design ideas and tattoo fonts, which is really convenient. The artists' original designs are on display and are very impressive.

I highly recommend Shogun. The artists are talented and the experience is wonderful. Can't wait to go back for my tattoo!
