Does this happen in your home? By the end of the week things can get a little relaxed. Just be sure to keep brushing for 2 minutes, 2 times a day!

Whitening toothpastes can be too abrasive for kid's teeth. But everyone in your family can enjoy the natural tooth whitening that comes from eating more strawberries! Anyone else love them as much as we do?

Teach your children that teeth are not bottle openers, package rippers, string cutters, pliers or scissors. Broken teeth can result in repairs that are never as strong as the original tooth. It may be more convenient to use your teeth, but the effort saved isn't worth an emergency trip to the dentist.

Watermelon is good for your teeth! Eating watermelon releases Vitamin C and anti-oxidant properties into your body. Did you know that potato chips can be harder on kids' teeth than candy? Starchy foods can get stuck in between teeth and in hard to reach crevices giving bacteria plenty of sugar to snack on!

While it certainly can be a better option than other sugary snacks, fruit in a pouch isn't as healthy as it may seem. Many brands, even those made with organic fruit often contain incredible amounts of sugar. Plus, pouches are missing most of the fiber found in whole fruits and vegetables. Not only do your teeth miss what they're designed to do (to chew), but fruit in a pouch can cling longer to teeth, giving cavity causing bacteria plenty of time to grow.

Need help getting your kids to brush? Make it fun by playing "copycat"! Making a game out of brushing will help your kids brush more thoroughly and will help you correct brushing mistakes in a fun way. Plus, you may end up brushing more yourself!

Regular dental visits and attention to oral care are especially important for those living with diabetes. People with diabetes are at special risk for periodontal (gum) disease. Many people with diabetes may also experience dry mouth, which can increase the risk for tooth decay.

Have you considered an orthodontic evaluation? Having straight teeth can mean more than just a great smile. Properly spaced teeth allows for healthier gums, prevents abnormal tooth wear, makes teeth easier to clean and can even prevent headaches or neck pain caused by excessive stress on the gums and the bone that support your teeth!

We’ve seen some pretty creative ways to pull a loose tooth. But is helping out a tooth a good idea? Not allowing a tooth to come out naturally can cause damage to sensitive gum tissue. If eating something like an apple or allowing your child to gently wiggle the tooth back and forth isn’t enough, there’s a big chance the tooth may not be ready..
