Closing down a legend. Sad we're losing this place.

Finally trying this place out for the first time. before it closes on the 28th. And how about my stunning wife and that beautiful baby bump!

They are closing this place Saturday so I had to come and bid them farewell. One of my dates when I first meet my wife was here.

I will miss this place for many reasons; however, service was never their strong point.

Peter Bell and Liz Wilson getting after work steaks

Omg. Great filet and shrooms dinner

Getting my grub on with Chris

I jus wanted to say happy late birthday to a man I've known longer than a quarter of a century. I truly am glad I got to be a part of your life. Dinner is always a pleasure

This place has the best steak I've ever had and their shrimp are huge!! Our server Mark was phenomenal and knows his stuff!!

England and this place is so so good, service was cool and the food was so dam good

Worst. Hostess. Ever!!! I'll star, t out by saying the food was ok but the service we received from the front desk was horrendous!!!!! Since we had a reservation, we didn't anticipate any issues but when our party was (unapologetically) seated at the bar, we were a bit taken back. The hostess let us know that she wasn't responsible for over booking the tables and assured us that if we didn't want th…e table they had provided us with, someone else would be glad to take it. We ended up staying and enjoying the service we received at our (awful) table but the hostess' lack of professionalism was unacceptable. not sure we'd return. .unfortunately these kinds of instances will destroy an experience. Good service will trump mediocre food any day but good food will never trump poor service. Food for thought. . Еще.

Butch's Old Casino Steak House - Steak House
Casual dining at it's best!
Come in and enjoy the food, drinks and service. An old exterior hides an excellent steak and seafood house. Butch's Old Casino Steak House. N James Lovell St. North James Lovell Street. When you have a choice between a baked potatoe and the chips, go with the chips!
The chips alone were 5 stars.
Relish tray and bread was a plus!
Overall, a tad pricey. A very eclectic mix of service- our party of five had four servers.
It's a new experience to have the specials menu recited in Slovakian elegance. Then, the contrast of flamboyant enthusiasm. At checkout, don't expect the usual modern commodities.
Checks are handwritten, no computer computations.
Split the check on your own. Keep an item mind, it's worth the experience. Outside of building is non descript, inside is clean, food is fantastic, service excellent. Would definitley return whenever I can. So tender and delicious.
I wouldn't consider going anywhere else for a steak.
It is expensive but best shrimp scampi I have ever had!
Kat was our server and very friendly. Where do I start, this place was phenomenal from the moment we walked in we were greeted, the Service and food was great. This place is a must for steak lovers, I didn't have to put anything on my Med rare steak, more than exceptional. I'm sorry Butch but you need some help. I will start off by saying the food was a little better than expected but af(...)

It's been 4 months since we stumbled

It's been 4 months since we stumbled upon this place while visiting Milwaukee and we are still talking about how fantastic everything was. This place got everything right and had a pulse. My wife and I are Philadelphia foodies, and rather hard to impress, but we will make it a point to find this place again if we return to Wisconsin again.

Good service and wait staff

I visited Butch's Steak House a couple weeks ago with several friends. I really didn't now what it was...just trying to find a place to eat, but was amazed at how great the wait staff was. Prices are reasonable and food good. Thanks.

Butch's - The BEST

Not much to look at from the outside but the food and drink are inside. Simply the best or one of best restaurants in Milwaukee! Don't pass it up if you are in that area!

Anticipation

In my job sometimes Im forced to travel. Ive been on site in Portland Mpls Ft Wayne El Monte LA San Fransico etc. so eating out is always an adventure. I've had the bad bad and knock your socks off. I love to tell the story of Butchs, it usually starts with ""In Milwaukee there is this really scary looking place but the food is outstanding."" r Once you sit down you kind of have to laugh at how important service is to the staff .. truly once you leave you will understand how bad service is elsewhere. Today Ill be having the Steer Filet at 5:05 PM and Ill be dragging a first timer with me. I can't wait

Butch's...Great steaks and fantastic service.

This place is in downtown Milwaukee. It is in what used to be an old disco. Don't let that stop you though. A very relaxed comfortable place to enjoy great steaks. It was fairly busy last night but the service was fast and pleasent. Whe you walk in the door, on your right is the bar and cooking area. There is also a meat display case. We had reservations and sere seated in a few minutes. The best thing about the atmosphere in the dining room was no canned music. You don't have to yell to talk. Thw steaks were prpared the way we wanted them ind in record time compared to some of the other places I have been to. The prices were fair considering the amount of food you get. A fresh relish tray, and warm bread were on the table before you even sat down. All in all a very pleasent experience.

Butch's has it all!

Butch's Old Casino Steakhouse is more than a great restaurant, it is a dining experience. The small, former disco reminds me of a Grandparent's mid-70's den- complete with fireplace and thick-pile carpet. r I loved the old-fashioned relish tray and bread basket. The martini was good and the service was even better. Every Butch's employee we spoke to was warm and friendly. r The shrimp scampi is unbelievable and especially perfect paired with the 6 oz. Steer Filet. My fiance had the lamb chops which were also perfectly cooked and delicious. r One mention to the hostess that is was my birthday, and we were served the most wonderful slice of homemade cheesecake (made by Butch's wife) complete with strawberries and a candle. r I cannot think of a negative comment about my experince at Butch's. I would recommend it to all of my friends... and then go along with them when they try it.

Butch's - Always Pleases

Butch's has long been my favorite Milwaukee steak house. Must start with cocktails at the bar. An Absolut Martini with a picled mushroom is my preference. Good bartenders, a chance to peruse the menu and experience the sizzle of the grill and hustle of the wait staff. Escargot is a great starter. Pick a steak...any steak...they're all magnificent. The pork chops are spectacular. Try the Casino chicken if you just can't eat the steaks or chops. Add a glass of dry, red wine for perfection.
