Results from our last 4dx snap test clinic: We tested 21 dogs for the 3 tick borne diseases, Lyme, Anaplasmosis and Erlichiosis, as well as heartworm disease. 7 dogs were Lyme positive. 2 dogs were Anaplasmosis positive. 3 dogs were combination Lyme and Anaplasmosis positive. . 2 dogs were residual positive for Anaplasmosis. 7 dogs tested negative for any of the diseases. Now, of the dogs that tested negative for Lyme disease, eight of the ten had received the Lyme vaccine previously. Out of the 7 dogs that tested positive for Lyme disease, 6 of them had no Lyme vaccine history. Only 1 dog had received the Lyme vaccine previously and tested positive for Lyme disease. We still strongly recommend getting your dogs vaccinated for protection against Lyme disease as well as monthly flea and tick prevention. We can also get your pet scheduled for the 4dx snap test during our regular appointment hours.
